Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective Sergeant John Fitzpatrick

This man was my mother's uncle.

He came from Limerick, a city in Ireland.

His brother, Christy, fought in WW1 and was wounded in France.

John-I am surprised you do not have more postings from your agency--one steeped in historical law enforcement significance--nevertheless I would like to honor your service and sacrifice to the fine citizens of New York. You fell in the line of duty with honor and bravery--it says a lot about who you were. Thank you for representing your agency, your city and your great state.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 92nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
