Reflections for Deputy Gabriel Morris Fish

I think of you often, as I named my son Gabriel to honor your memory. I am so sorry I never had the chance to know you, only learning of you through stories told by my dad, your brother, Drew. Thank you for your eternal sacrifice. I am proud to call you uncle and blessed to share your memory and legacy with my son. Rest in peace.

Thank you for your service officer Fish. You are one of the many that make our world a safe place to be. We can never repay you for what you did that day.
I do not agree with the person being able to live out the rest of his life in prison or anywhere. The Bible say a eye for a eye.

The Sheriffs of Florida and their deputies will never forget the sacrifice you and your family made to uphold our laws and protect society.

Your name has been inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and in our hearts. May you forever rest in peace.

A scripture inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs Law Enforcement Memorial:

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. You will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace

Daddy I miss you as much today as I did the day I knew you would never be coming home again. I will miss you and love you forever. I have been to Baker County and have seen the impact you have had and still have on the community you gave your life to protect. I want you to know even though it has meant a life without you I am proud you are my Dad.
