My dear brother, How I still miss you, your laughter, your stilly jokes and great smile. It still feels like it was just yesterday that we lost you. I hope you knew then how much you were loved. I am going to meet your son next week. Through circumstances I have not seen him since you died. I will tell him some of my memories. Love you so much. Barb

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace

As I age, your death at such an early time has always been in my memory, we played football together in high school and I always admired you as a person. Your even tempered personality was greatly admired and respected even in high school. You were truly a special person put on earth for a special purpose.

Dad,
Thanks for doing what was the right thing to do. I have patterned my life after your example. I always put others first and I follow the law. I really struggle sometimes because I don't have you here. I am raising two boys and they often ask about grandpa. I have your picture on the wall and some keepsakes of yours. I am currently having a hard time without you. It is hard to be a dad without a dad. I am doing well and my boys are wonderful. We have such a great relationship, but when they are asleep and the house is quiet, I think of you I have missed you so much all these years. Just wishing I could hang out with you in my garage and maybe drink a beer together. I miss you and I will never forget you. Your son, Chuck Jr.

Dad,
I think about you every day. You are my hero. I have two sons now. They are getting so big! Today was a hard day because I met a woman who lost her son who was an officer. It made me think of you and mom. I wish you could see my boys. They will know who you are dad and they will know your story. I miss you. Love, Chuck Jr.
