Reflections for Officer Richard D. Duvall
Dear Officer Duvall: Just wanted to remember you on this sad anniversary. When I have attended memorial services at the Academy during Police Week, I have heard your name and have seen your brass plaque. God bless you for your dedicated service.
I have prayed for God to wrap his arms around your family to comfort them. I know you are watching them from above and that you watch the rest of of my beloved CHP...do your best to keep them safe.
Love,

To Robert Jr and your family, please accemp my condolances. I believe that Richard was a family member and I remember stories told to me as a young man. I grew up to be a Law Enforcement Officer and often think of all the men and women that have given their lives to protect others.
God bless you and your family

To the family of Officer Duvall, I often stand at the CHP Memorial Fountain at the Academy and polish the brass plate with Officer Duvall's name. I did so as a Cadet and thought of him and you. I am now a sergeant and very proud to know that I had a cousin who served the State before me.
I am a distant cousin related to the officer on the Duvall side. My great grandmother's maiden name was Duvall and I know she attended Officer Duvall's funeral. I would love to meet any of his family, please email me at [email protected] Sergeant Lori Harmon, #13532

Officer Duvall,
On today, the 48th anniversary of your murder, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of California. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. It took another year, but your murderer finally got the justice that he deserved.
