Your heroism and service is honored today, the 112th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.

Sheriff Dow,
On today, the 111th anniversary of your murder, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Eddy County. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. Your murderers might not have faced justice then, but hopefully by now they have gone before the ultimate judge.

I never knew you, but I grew up hearing about you. The family stories portrayed you as a hero: a tough man, full of honor and integrity. I researched and read about your days in Lincoln County, and found out it was all true. It was an honor to follow in your footsteps. I still get a laugh out of how your legacy lived on, and you were still putting criminals away over 100 years after your death! (When I'm retired, I'll elaborate....) It seemed a shame that such a fine man had no reflections! Thanks for the genetics. I'm still trying to live up to them.
