Reflections for Police Officer Eugene Albert Doran

Rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

Detective Cpl/3 Steven Rizzo
Delaware State Police (Retired)

The public in most cases takes it for granted the service they are getting from law enforcement. People need to show more appreciation to police for the protection they provide us, and the sacrifice they give, Sometimes the “ultimate sacrifice”, as officer Doran gave.
May you Rest In Peace officer Eugene Doran.

I have a much better understanding now and when I cross that bridge heading either direction a salute to them all the way through to show my respect for their sacrifice. RIP to all who have given their lives to save ours.

What a waste of life not only for this brave officer but also for his 20 year old killer that was gassed for his crimes. I don't have much sympathy for him, but I think it is a waste.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Your family suffered great tragedy losing you and then your son. I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Perhaps one day I will be able to meet your family at a NorCal Cops function.

Officer Doran,
On today, the 47th anniversary of your murder,I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Hillsborough. It took another year, but your murderer finally got the justice that he deserved.

Officer Doran, I remember the shock of hearing your death like it was yesterday. My father, John Cost, a prominent Defense Attorney and former FBI agent (now deceased) was called to represent your killer, Alexander Robilard. My father told them that he could never defend a "cop killer" and that they would have to find someone else.

Rest in Peace. Your name is forever incribed on the beautiful Crystal Springs Bridge.
