Uncle Jerry - It will be 46 years that you are gone. I have never forgotten that night when you gave of yourself for everyone in Chicago and then some. I wish you could be here so we can talk about my current job. I always think of you each time I stop fraud losses for my employer. You would have been proud of all this. I will be lighting a candle for your memory this Friday -- Good Friday no less. Thinking of you & knowning I will see you sometime soon.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

This is my father. I was born 3 months after he was killed. He gave his life for the People of the City of Chicago, doing a job he loved. My biggest regret in life is never knowing him. Our family misses him every day of our lives.
