Reflections for Lieutenant Owen Davenport
Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifty-fourth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

I remember Owen and his family living in Lyon County KY. Owen was a giant of a man. He was gentle, kind, big hearted and loved his family. Such a loss of a very fine man.
After this tragic incident I lose the whereabouts of his family. I went to school with one of his children, Janice, and would like to hear from her if she should read this.
