Frank's nephew. I was about 11 at the time of the killing. I remember the night well. The call came in early evening. It was a very sad time for us all, expecially his wife Jane Hill my aunt who has just passed on( 4/7 /12) 88yrs. These things are never forgotten.

God Bless those who put themseves in harm way for their fellow man either through law enforcement or military service.

RIP Sheriff. I served as a trooper in your area many years ago and I appreciate your sacrifice and service. God Bless Sir. It was a sad travesty that the coward who ambushed you was released.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to the native state of myself and my cherished son Larry Lasater who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

The bullets that kill our beloved officers kill a part of everyone who cared for them.

Rest In Peace.

Sheriff Crawford,
On today, the 55th anniversary of your murder, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Cherokee County. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. It's sickens me that your murderer your murderer was given a lot more chances than he gave you after he was convicted.
