It is amazing to see this and to see that law endorcement has played a part in our family. My youngest brother is retired from the Norfolk PD and was shot in the line of duty in 2007. Thank the Lord the result were not the same as our great-great uncle. It is with great pride that I have learned of Uncle Tom.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 87th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.

The City and Department have changed quite a bit since your time on the department. However, you are remembered everyday. Your picture, as well as pictures of the seven other Raleigh Police Officers that have died protecting the City, is hanging in all of the Police stations. You watch over us daily.

Thank you.
