Never got to meet my grandfather but he was a handsome man and a great provider to his family. My mother patsy who died an early death should be enjoying his company in heaven and hope they have caught up on everything. Knowing my mother they are still catching up. Rest in peace grandpa grandma, mom and uncle James. Luv and miss you all

Officer Copeland,

I never had the chance to meet you, but I will always be grateful for you raising such a wonderful son... a man who has taught me so much about life and it's beauty... a father that loved his father dearly & talks about you all the time. I am honored to be your grandson!

RIP Grandfather

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I agree with a previous writer who wrote “No officer’s death should be without reflection.” My condolences to the family of Officer Herbert D. Copeland. Be proud of him always. You served us well......RIP brother.”
