Rest in peace Officer Cooke. There was a Metro-Dade Police officer by the name of William C. Cook, my neighbor, friend and hero like you who died in the line of duty in 1979. Thank you for your courage and bravery.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 151rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace
