My dad Raymond L Chaffin was Detective Cleveland,s partner at this time and at the address when this shooting occured. He grieved for years after this tragic death and remained close friends with detective Cleveland's widow.It was just a few years later that Officer Wills was murdered and he was also a close friend of my dad's.

Any officer who dies in the line of duty shall be remembered always. It is my honor to be the first to leave a reflection to your memory. You died a hero Det. Cleveland and we commend you for your service. Rest in peace sir.
