Patrolman Claassan,
On today, the 62nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served in the USN-more than likely judging by your age in WW II. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 59th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect.and your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace

Patrolman Claassen - Four Fridays ago, I stood in the State Assembly chambers when you name was one of almost 250 read off during a motion regarding this month's Peace Officer Memorial Week - you are not forgotten.

Thank you for your service to the people of the City of Denver and the State of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
