Policeman Chamberlain - A world war had just started and you were taken away from your family, friends, and co-workers on a Christmas Day...the fourth LAPD Officer killed, for that year, in traffic/motor collisions. Please keep watch over us, faithfully, and perhaps we'll meet up one day...if we're found worthy, that is.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 68th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
