Reflections for Patrolman Owen Burns

Owen Burns left behind a grieving widow and three young sons all of whom were so greatly affected by this horrible murder. His oldest son was my father, Louis Burns.
Thank you for this memorial. Although I never knew him, it means so much for him to be remembered as the hero he was.

Granddaughter

Rest in peace Patrolman Burns. My father who should too rest in peace had the same first name and was a New York City policeman for nearly forty years.

I just want to say that my Grandfather has been a true lifelong Hero to me. It is the memory of what he stood for that helps me to make the correct decisions on a daily basis and to support his Brothers and Sisters who stand the Thin Blue Line on a daily basis.
