I am proud to have been named after this honorable man. My Grandfather died before I was born however he inspired me in many ways. I have a deep admiration for those willing to put themselves in harms way for the good of others.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, not even 66 years.
