Correctional Officer Budd, I was wondering if you were related to Dr. William Budd. He was a Florida State Trooper, a Miami Police Officer and the Chief of the North Bay Village, Florida department. Rest in peace. Thank you for your valor and heroism.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

It was an honor to be nominated for an award named after this great man. I would like to thank the De Marse training Academy for all the things that they have taught me into being a better Corrections Officer.

Brother Jack,
Not many people know how hard the job of Corrections Officer is. COs patrol the toughest beat in the world. Everyone of the "citizens" in their beat is a criminal. They face terrible dangers at every moment. The job is not easy.

I want to thank you for your service and dedication. You will NEVER be forgotten by those who knew you or those who serve. Your family will ALWAYS be in my prayers and thoughts.

Rest in peace, Jack. You will never be forgotten. Your funny jokes brightened up our grim surroundings. I know you are with the angels watching over those of us who remain on duty.
