On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Dennis died in the line of duty as one of our 9/11 heroes

To the Reichardt family, fellow officers, and all who call Dennis beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I hope that as the first anniversary of your loved one's untimely death approaches, that you continue to receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Sergeant Reichardt gave to his community and the citizens of New York and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on October 4, 2018.

Sgt Reichardt's Family,
You are in our prayers today and in the future. I am acquainted with Marine Sgt. Jason Thomas (Ret.) of Columbus, OH, who helped save two first responders at the World Trade Center. He said the real heroes were the ones who continued working there long after 9/11. Sgt. Reichart obviously put service above self in working at the WTC site for three months. May God bless him and his family.
