Thinking of all Milwaukee Police Officers today, as they place Charles Irvine's plaque at the location of the accident. I pray for the healing of Charles family, and close friends. I also pray for his partner. May God be with you today as you recall the moments of that horrific day. May He wrap His loving arms around you, and ease any unsettled thoughts in your mind. In Jesus name, Amen.

I pray that everyone will find comfort in Revelation 21:4, where it says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Until we can see all of our loved ones again in Paradise, please accept my condolences.

I thought of you today Officer Charles Irvine, and still shed a tear how you were taken way too soon. Although I didn't remember you during my 17 years with MPD until last Summer,it still saddened me,how your passing was so senseless. i have nephews your age,and you deserved a long life. You had given your all,and I know you are with God in Heaven, keeping him safe! God bless you Officer Irvine, and thank you for your service!

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Charles was killed in the line of duty.

To the Irvine family, fellow officers , and all who call Charles beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you and your fellow deputy.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Charles gave to his community and the citizens of Wisconsin and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on June 7, 2018.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

I have lifted your family to God every morning for over seven years. I pray that Charles' life and death will bring glory to God.

Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.
