The Yarmouth Police Department and the Village of Yarmouth, MA are mourning the loss of a great police officer in Sean Gannon who was shot and killed by a wanted felon who was currently on probation for a few offences he has been charged with. He will be missed by his family and fellow officers as well as the entire community.

A solid, educated man, on a dedicated path. His character, approachable and available. Always seen smiling. Happily attended events for the community to reach out and educate . Young children crying, at police station, asking why? Gone too young, too soon. His K-9 Nero will miss him.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

City of Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee WI
