Corporal Hallman, why did our good Lord take you back to Him at such an early age and depriving your children, including the one in the womb, their father to love and protect them? Only He, our all-knowing, all-loving Lord, would know. Your reward in heaven will be great and God will take care of your loved ones. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant. May our Lord immerse you and your family in His Divine Mercy.

Members of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police understand this pain. Our staff asks that everyone offer condolences and share this link. The Morelli, Joering and our Police families received love and support from all over the world when Tony and Eric were killed in the line of duty. That provided strength during that tragic time.

We ask that everyone send that same level of love and support to the immediate family of Corporal Dale Hallman and the extended law enforcement family of the Saluda County Sheriff's Office, South Carolina.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your memory.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

By Jon F. Hooper
