Reflections for Police Officer Christopher Ryan Morton

Thank you to Pamela Hotsinpiller for the daily prayers. They are appreciated and helpful.
Very very sorry to hear about another Clinton Police Officer, Christopher Morton being killed. I went to Officer Michaels funeral just 7 months ago and never imagined I'd be doing it again . Guys please, please, please be careful and watch each others backs. We have to stay safe and go home to our families every night.
I will pray for Chris and his family, both at home and in blue.

I am sad to learn of the loss of a hero in Police Officer Christopher Ryan Morton. I know our Heavenly Father has asked his Angles to escort Officer Morton home where he will now patrol the Golden Streets of Heaven. May the Lord deliver blessings, comfort and peace to the family, friends and peers of Officer Morton.

My heart breaks every time I read about another officer being killed... My brother Roger Lynch was killed back in 2005 while responding to a domestic dispute. I am so sorry. I understand your disbelief and the numb state of your mind right now. I will be praying for your family.

Every morning I go to my knees.  During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm.  They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil.  If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain.  Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf.   Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

I have lifted your family to God every morning for over six years.  I pray that Christopher's life and death will bring glory to His name.

Trust those prayers.  God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

A Prayer for Police Officer Christopher Ryan Morton:

Lord God, I boldly and humbly come before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer as we remember in this moment our Brother-in-Blue, Police Officer Christopher Ryan Morton, of the Clinton, Missouri Police Department, who sacrificed his life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that he stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of his spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues he loved; devoted to the community and state in which he served; and loyal to the causes which he championed in law enforcement. For Scripture says: God blesses those who work for peace for they will be called the children of God ; there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends; I [Jesus] assure you, today you will be with me in Paradise, and; God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Thus, in our life, may Police Officer Christopher Ryan Morton live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen.
