It takes a great man to do what you did and have done for 31 years. You gave your life selflessly to protect others from harms way. You are and always have been a man of Honor. As a man born and raised in Chicago I Thank you for your service to the Chicago land area. I too follow in your steps and know that those of us in blue now have your watch. Rest easy brother for we have this now!! Enjoy those streets of Gold for one day we will meet again and rejoice! God bless your soul my brother! Rest In Peace!

My deepest condolences to the city of Chicago and Officer Bauer's family friends and fellow CPD cops. Park Forest Police officer Tim Jones was shot 2 blocks from my house about 2 years ago. May our Sorrowful Mother be a shoulder to cry on to the people involved. May Officer Bauer rest in the peace of Jesus.
