Having just read your partner Officer Johnson’s LODD and leaving a reflection for him for his incredibly heroic actions, I couldn’t help but to return to you and reiterate what a hero you are. Not for just your sacrifice and overall actions as a police officer, but for your actions on this very day just nine months before your own heroic sacrifice. I hope you and Officer Johnson are together watching over your families and your law enforcement brethren from above. God Speed and God Bless both of your families.

Today Sat Aug 18, 2018, which is six months after My Son's passing. I was finally able to actually sit and read each and every one of these post without being so overcome with emotion. My family and I truly thank you all for your prayers, kind words and expressions of love. We are grateful for the man God created My Son to be and thankful for all the lives he was able to touch because he knew who he was in Christ. Please continue to pray for all of fallen Officer Darren Weathers family blood and blue... I will always trust and believe God is still God no matter what

I hope that everyone can find comfort in Revelation 21:4 where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Until we see him again in Paradise, please accept my condolences.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Darren was killed in the line of duty.

To the Weathers family, fellow officers , and all who call Darren beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Darren gave to his community and the citizens of Michigan and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on February 13th, 2018.

Darren,

I don't know who you are. I have never met you before. The picture of you in your Army uniform is what drew me to you. To have served your country and also community is beautiful. I watched the video of you playing with the neighborhood kids and honestly that's the thing that draws me to be a police officer. I'm really sorry we lost a great man like you. God Bless you.

A fellow Army brother

It is always painful to lose a brother. The loss of Darren is especially tragic due to his dedication of service to others, his U.S. Army uniforms appears to show a Combat Infantry Badge and that he was a member of the 3rd Infantry Division.

Deepest condolences to Family, Department and Friends. Visit the web site ImagineHeaven.net for a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting. All law enforcement men and women indeed qualify as "Foxhole Christians" with their duty dangers. As Ray Comfort at LivingWater.com says "Passing is the doormat they wipe their feet on before entering Heaven.” It is our belief they will hear from the Lord Himself. “Do not fear. for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:12).

You handled business when you needed too after my classmate and friend, your partner that night, got shot in the head on a run in #2. I thanked you at the #10 and #12 Xmas party. I told you I'd never forget what you did for Jay. That hasn't changed. I'll never forget that or you.
