Reflections for Lieutenant Christopher Robateau

I met Christopher while teaching in NJ. My Thought and Prayers go out to his Family, Friends, Brothers and Sisters who wear the badge. Christopher took my class twice and I remembered him from the first class in Cedar Grove, NJ. A very nice man. So sorry for your loss.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Christopher was killed.

To the Robateau family, fellow officers, and all who call Christopher beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Lt. Robateau gave to his community and the citizens of New Jersey and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on January 5th, 2018..

There is never a loss that is timely. No words or actions can justify or explain why our brothers or sisters are taken away during the day or night. Caring and sharing can be a huge sacrifice , most often is, especially for the remaining family members who have to move on without a sign or warning. God Bless those who have sacrificed and all the families who have taken this journey with us.

May God watch over the Family and Fellow Officers that put their lives on the line for us everyday. We all lose when one of these heroes fall. And this one was a terrible loss. A man who without care for his own safety did such a noble thing. I hope his family will find some type of peace during this time of mourning. God will not let them down. Keep Faith and know he is in a better place.

Physically you're gone, but spiritually, you are still with us. May you alway leave signs to remind us of your presence. In Heaven, look for Det. Marc DiNardo. We lost him too soon, like you, on July 21, 2009. He was, and still is, loved by many and all that he met. And also like you, loved his wife immensely and his children just the same. You two are two peas in a pod. Your Academic Brothers love you and miss you. The group dynamic just won't be the same without you. We miss your banters, your unique laugh, and most of all your presence. Time heals all wounds, but the pain remains. Continue to look after Rose, your boys and little Rosie, from Heaven and we will continue to look after them here on Earth. Until we meet again in the afterlife, keep some cold ones ready and waiting.... RIP Chris... We will always Love you and Remember You....

I am so very sorry for the loss of this fine young man. May you all get home safe at the end of each watch. I work in JC and our officers here are great. In fact, I bowed my head the majority of the day hearing the sirens and the helicopters over my office at St. Peter's as I am right down the block from St. Aedens. RIP.

my cousin Joey Cutruzzula retired from JCPD north district and passed away last year. Our JCPD is the best.
