Gustave Boettger is my 3rd Great Uncle
Died from injuries saving children from a runaway horse in 1922. He was never recognized as dying in the line of duty. His amazing heroism was lost in the passage of time until recently. In 2018 Gustave was awarded with the Historical Line of duty death. His name will now live on.
Rest in peace knowing that you will never be forgotten again.
