On today, the 108th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the Union Army during the Civil War.

Sergeant Shaw, you proved yourself to be a true and absolute hero and one tough S.O.B. I admire you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service, both to the Union and to the citizens of Watertown and the Commonwealth as a whole.

You no doubt are Resting in Peace, you so earned it. God Bless you, Brother.
