A truly horrible way to die, but as a Railroad Police Officer, it's a risk you faced every day, along with the risks of scum wanting to murder you. You are a hero.

I am grateful that you worked so hard to protect one of America's greatest assets, it's railroads.

I also am grateful that you have finally been recognized as a true hero, thanks in part to this wonderful site and definitely thanks to someone who took the time and did the research. THEY TOO are true heroes. God Bless and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful, Brother.
