My condolences to the family and friends of Deputy Sheriff Jason Fann. Losing a loved one is difficult. Please take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Just think of the time when you will see your loved one again, in paradise conditions, here on earth. Once again, my condolences.

This is the first LODD I've ever read that I had met the officer involved. I met Jason when he was in communications and was attending the police academy, about 3 or so years ago. I still can't believe this...it's so surreal. RIP JASON!!

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln
