Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Lieutenant D. Heath Meyer, of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, was taken from us in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Almighty God, we ask that you grant us a deeper appreciation of the efforts of all police officers who serve our communities and states daily. For their dedication to our security, order and peace, we give You thanks. May they be encouraged in their work which benefits us all. Lt. Meyer, such a horrific and tragic incident for ALL involved. I pray for everyone who had anything to do with this, but most especially for those who know and love you most for they will feel the loss more than anyone else. So long as they keep you forever in their hearts and minds, you'll never truly be gone.
