May God watch over the Family and Fellow Officers that put their lives on the line for us everyday. We all lose when one of these heroes fall. And this one was a terrible loss. A man who without care for his own safety did such a noble thing. I hope his family will find some type of peace during this time of mourning. God will not let them down. Keep Faith and know he is in a better place.

So I have to ask, where is all the anger and protests for your life being taken? Or for your family left to deal with shattered dreams and heartache? Maybe I missed it. But what I didn’t miss, is the fact that you made the ultimate sacrifice to stop an active shooter, vermin hell bent on killing innocent people, fulfilling our sacred oath, “To Protect and Serve”.
The dust settles, the news fades away…but the pain lingers for your family, the San Antonio Police Department, and a nation of fellow officers who know too well the sick feeling when one of us goes down. Yet, day after day, we strap on a gun, pin on the badge, kiss our family so long, never knowing if this is actually “goodbye”, and live on the streets with vermin such as this. We drive by residential neighborhoods where we see families enjoying dinner together, safe and warm, enjoying the American way of life. A life that we swore to protect at all costs, everyone’s life because all life matters…even ours.
Fortunately, that vermin is dead. “For the candle of the wicked shall be put out forever.
This has been a horrid year for law enforcement officers dying in the line of duty. The mayhem and carnage seems to know no end, as does the criticism of a select few, very few, and of course, the media. The same media that has yet to cover a story of a fallen officer’s family life in coping with the loss.
Thank you for your service, your dedication to duty and professionalism. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. ... Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ...

My condolences to the family and friends of Police Officer Miguel I. Moreno. Losing a loved one is always difficult. Please take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Just think of the time when you will see your loved ones again, in paradise conditions, here on earth. I am sorry for your lost.
