To Mikes wife and children and our family of the badge,

I had the great pleasure to meet Mike in 1976 when he and I were applicants at CPD. We were both young pups eager to start a career in LE. And as young pups are, we were very competitive. I knew immediately that Mike was going to be the better cop. He was a much kinder, patient, respectful and level headed young man that I was! Over the 5 years that I was at CPD, working with Mike, I learned a great deal from watching him. I was always amazed at how well he handled himself and it motivated me to continue improving myself. I left CPD and went on to another department in the county. While I did not have much contact with Mike any longer, on those times that I did, I always enjoyed visiting with him and sharing family and work stories and experiences.
It broke my heart when I learned of Mikes passing. I did not know that he had continued on in law enforcement after retiring. Amazing! He truly was the epitome of a Norman Rockwell cop!

I know you must be in great pain right now. And while nothing I could say would ever ease that pain, please know that I am praying for Mike and for you. He is one of Gods centurions now.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God

Godspeed Mike
