Reflections for Deputy Chief James Gerard Molloy

Many years ago we worked in the 75 together and I was about to leave for Suffolk you took care of me by letting me be your driver for the last two weeks. Always looking out for you personnel, as always. We laughed so much in those two weeks, enough for a lifetime. Rest In Peace my brotha.

Oh! Jimmy, many yesterday’s ago, we were young kids on patrol, leaning to be men. Those memories live, in our hearts even though the hands of time continue to chase us. You did well, my friend. I’m so proud of you. It was great to have shared some time with you, and greater to see you prosper. Till we meet again my friend, continue to rest in eternal peace.

I pray that everyone will find comfort in Revelation 21:4, where it says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Until we can see all of our loved ones again in Paradise, please accept my condolences.

Chief Malloy was the embodiment of a true hero in every sense of the word! I come from a family of 3 LE Officers (brother in Louisville, Ky. and
an uncle and cousin both in Portland, Oregon). I salute and support the
"Thin Blue Line" any way I possibly can-police officers are some of
the finest people I have ever known!

God Bless the NYPD and also Chief Malloy, his family and countless friends!

Sincerely,

Heartfelt thanks to all of those in the law enforcement community for the kind words and prayers for my husband, Jim Molloy! Please pray for all the families and officers who still suffer from the evil acts that occurred on September 11, 2001. The pain is heartbreaking. May God hold you all in the palm of His hand...
