Reflections for Officer First Class Michael David Louviere

I receive the alerts from ODMP and am saddened and horrified by every one of them. This one in particular affected me so strongly because my police officer father was senselessly murdered when I was just a little girl as well. My heart goes out to his family and I pray that they find the strength they need in the days, months and years ahead and they are comforted by the knowledge that their hero will never ever be forgotten. Rest In Peace Officer Louviere. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Your Husband and Daddy was the bravest of the brave. He was a Police officer and a United States Marine. Yep I am pretty sure that those two things alone made him a Hero. But he simply made it a safer place for us to be in. He fought what most fear and earned what most dream about. My prayers are with you always. Semper Fidelis Marine. I wished I could have been by your side. My respect Sir.

While I didn't know your husband, my need to express my condolences is ever so strong. His kindness in his deed was met with the ultimate sacrifice. It robbed him of his life and you a husband and father. May God keep your family blessed for all of your life....

Officer Michael Louviere was doing what good men do, stopping to give aid to someone in need, even though he was off duty. He was a young man of great faith, a great father and husband. He will be missed by his family, his brothers and sisters in law enforcement, his church and our community.

Throughout this time, his family is a testimony of their faith and love for each other.
