Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over five years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

Patrick and I were friends for over 13 years. We served on the Peach County SWAT team together for 8 years. He was a good operator and one of my team leaders. When you were on a call and you heard a door shut behind you, it was always a good feeling to know that Patrick was there to back you up even if you didn't expect him to be there. We'll miss you my brother but just know that we've got you're family's back and we'll try to pickup where you left off. That's some mighty big shoes for us to fill but we know you'd the same for us. Obviously, heaven needs a few good men too. You and Daryl hold the line there and we'll do the same here. Until we meet again Brother, watch over us and keep us safe.

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Patrick Sondron who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.

Patrick, you had such a beautiful soul. I will always remember the long nights when you would drop by the center and hang out with all of us. You were always smiling and full of stories. You love for your family was always so clear. This week as I met the people whose names I've heard countless times, it became clear that they loved you just as much. You will be missed so much. Just know that we will continue to look after your family like you always did. Rest easy, my friend.
