This is my great grandfather, and I am embarrassed that a gentleman was murdered because of this.. there are always 2 sides to every story and we are only seeing this side, as the other side was never told.. regardless of what happened lynching of any kind is unacceptable.

As of today, you have been gone for 107 years, but even after all this time, you have not been forgotten.

I pray your story has been passed down to subsequent generations of your family. You are a hero, Brother. God Bless and continue to RIP.

It can be reasonably argued that justice was not done by lynching your murderer. He had no trial and his death did not bring you back.

And though the act was wrong, the sentiment behind it can be understood. He took what must have been a good man away from a wife and five children, and for what?

Justice may have been done in this world, but not in the right way. Regardless however, your sacrifice cannot be overlooked.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.
