Reflections for Senior Police Officer LeAnder Frank

I heard from other Navajo Police Officers that you were a outstanding Police Officer, it really sadden me when I heard of you. I lost a older brother in the line of duty, the late Navajo Nation Police Officer Samuel A.Redhouse on February 1997. The Navajo Warriors in heaven were also sadden, you are there with my brother in Yodi Beehoghan , Navajo name for home for those who have past away. Me and my brothers at times talk about how Navajo Nation has changed so much and the people. It seems to me how a lot of Navajo people have no respect for Police Officers anymore and NN Officers have to cover at least 100 miles of calls everyday. May the Chiefs and Warriors be with you- younger brother of late Officer Samuel Redhouse.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over five years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

A Prayer for Senior Police Officer Leander Frank:

Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Senior Police Officer Leander Frank, of the Navajo Division of Public Safety, Arizona, was taken from us suddenly and violently in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Senior Police Officer Leander Frank, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should." [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]
