Deputy Russell:

Regrettably, things have not changed in America 142 years later. Our officers are still being gunned down. Thank you for the service and the sacrifice you made for others, epitomizing what a law enforcement officer is all about.

I pray that our Heavenly Father is holding you in the palm of His hand, and close to His heart. Rest in peace, my brother.

"Above all else, honor".

Lake Mary (Fl.) Police

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 142nd anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Phyllis Lasater Loya
mom of fallen Pittsburg Officer Larry Lasater, eow 4/24/05

It baffles the mind why charges that could result in small jail time, are escalated to the point of a potential death sentence. It's unquestionable proof of the dangerousness out there in the world.

No father would want to see their sons arrested, but only a vile serpent would kill the arresting officer.

Though it does not say what happened to the animal who murdered you, Deputy Russell, we can only hope that he faced true justice, if not in this world, then in the next.

May your rest be ever peaceful, Brother and God Bless you.
