You were a member of one of those agencies that many people overlook because it's not all rocking and rolling and grabbing headlines. You and those like you do your jobs, take the same risks as any other cops, handle the same craziness, and just do it quietly. It's sad that it takes tragedy to remind people of who you are and what you do.

You are a hero and thank you for your service, Brother. God Bless and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 100th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Phyllis Loya
mom of fallen Pittsburg (CA) Officer Larry Lasater, eow 4/24/05
