Officer Ryan,
On today, the 114th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Philadelphia.

To be charged with drunk and disorderly and then act in such a manner that causes further and more serious charges and also to bring the death of a good man is bizarre, unfathomable and disgusting, and yet, it's commonplace, even 114 years later. Whatever his fate, I have no sympathy. You were taken from those who knew and loved you best, and for what? You, are a hero, he, meaningless and forgotten.

God Bless you and may your eternal rest ever be peaceful, Brother.

On a side note, a special note of thanks to those citizens who put themselves at risk to help apprehend the very man who caused your death. They are heroes, all.
