John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

It's that time again brother and we said we'd never forget. I will always remember the utter silence that came over downtown as you were carried away in the ambulance; only the ticking of the flickering strobes of the ambulance could be heard. You made the ultimate sacrifice and we are eternally thankful for your service. Rest peacefully brother, we have the watch.

Please note Jehovah God comforting words recorded at Revelation 21:3,4 states "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." This promise from God will soon be fulfilled.

My brother past away from a fatal heart attack while on patrol. He also has a baby on the way and his wife is struggling with the fact of not having a husband to help with that. He was a officer with the Detroit PD and will be missed greatly.
Rest in Peace Officer Jones.

"The Final Inspection"
The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."

Death at such a young age is both surprising and shocking. The down side is the small amount of time your family and friends got to enjoy you. The only bright side is just for you my brother, you get to see and enjoy our Heavenly Father at a very early time. "Go rest high on that mountain, for your time here on earth is done" Vince Gill.
