Semper Fi Trooper. Time served doesn’t determine your honor and dedication. Your family is proud of you as we in law enforcement are. Whether it’s three months or 30 years, you served honorably and we will always have you and your family in our hearts. To your mother: Your brave son never swerved from his duties and I for one honor and respect him for his service I also honor you and your family for raising such a great young man. May GOD always bless you and your family.

I never had the privilege of meeting you on this earth, but I hope to one day have the honor to meet you in the life to come. I was born in April 1993, graduated in 2011, and donned the badge in 2015. Your story of heroism and courage has forever been a part of me. I shared your story and honored your memory in the academy and had worn the shirt honoring your memory so much that I have faded it nearly entirely. Your heroism will never fade. You are a complete stranger to me but you are forever my brother. In 2017, I was engaged in a gun-battle with a fleeing felon and I escaped with a minor gsw... I give the Lord the praise for that, but somehow I also feel it is the presence of my heroes above who may have also lent a hand to me that early morning. I hope one day to meet you my brother. I will forever remember your heroism and sacrifice.

I never knew you but your sacrifice is being honored, I am planting ten Red Pines, ten Balsam Firs and four Colorado Spruce.

When you plant a tree it lasts for many generations . If your family travels to Minnesota, I can be found on Facebook and I would be happy to take you to where they are planted.

Train, train hard, think it , be it. Ever day as an officer is hard, you want to trust and believe.
Serving 18 years and I still haven't learned all there is to know about deception, it's challenging. God has graced military personnel, the blue, and red with the dedication to the badge. Wear it proud, strong and with valor. Knowing this day may always be your last. No day in a classroom can prepare for this. Strength grows in numbers. God bless Trooper and all our fallen brothers and sisters.

Wow i seen the video on you tube how terrible for anyone but so young. Trooper Casper thank you for your Service to your State,Community and Department Most of all thank you for your Ultimate Sacrifice in the line of Duty. The closeness and the hurt in those Troopers voices that were around you on this day helping you was Amazing. The young lady that graduated the academy with you can be heard telling you to stay with her while i am assuming she was holding you for your comfort how sweet. I hope that you watch over her and all the others on your department as their careers carry on.
