Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Special Agent Jimmie Allen Barnett

Agent Barnett,
On today, the 42nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a LEO but for our Country as well when you served with the USN during the Korean War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Railroad Police agencies seem to be slowly becoming a thing of the past, which is a travesty. For all of those who still serve to protect one of the main things that made America what it is today, and for all who preceded them, we, as a nation, owe our thanks.

Every police job has it's risks but that special risk to Railroad Police is always there, and that was your fate. My Dad was with the New York Central Police for 5 years and had his share of near misses so I appreciate the dangers. You gave 8 years of your life protecting our railways and prior to that, you risked your life protecting our nation. Thank you, hero.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without honoring our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 40th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. We shall never forget any of our heroes.

Rest In Peace.
