Officer Clyde McDonald was my grandfather. My grandmother Anna was pregnant with my father at the time of his death. Always proud that my grandfather served as a police officer and honored to be his grandson and share his name.

Captain J. Peachee,

I just came across this site.

I am touched by your tribute to your great grandfather and your family's long history of service. It may be generations late but I'd like to do what I can to make things right.

If you'd like, I can provide you with details about the night Clyde was killed .

I am truly sorry.

John

Regrettably I am related to his killer

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 93rd anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
