Sir,
As a Sheriff's Security Officer, I have patrolled the very same county building where you were attacked in 1980, which makes this reflection especially poignant and hard-hitting for me. Even though your agency was absorbed by the Sheriff's Department, your memory is not forgotten. We wear the same bear shield badge you once did, and I pledge to make sure the sacrifices and legacy of the County Police are not forgotten in the tradition of the Sheriff's Department. I am aware that the same circumstances that resulted in your death can happen to me or my partners as well, a sobering thought. Thank you for your service to the County, and may you rest in peace.

Thanks for the wonderful 8 years 9 months and 10 days that I had with you. Thanks for teaching me the value of hard work and the importance of serving others. I know that death is part of life, but I wish I had a little more time with you. I miss you Dad

Another agency in which men and women proudly served that was gobbled up by a bigger agency in the name of saving money.

Officer Robinson, you lost your life to a nobody. Though the fate of your murderers is not posted, at least you scored a point for the good-guys. Your service is very much appreciated and your sacrifice as well as your dedication are honored ere.

God Bless.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 34th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect, not even 34 years.

Rest In Peace
