Morgan Pelfrey was my great grandfather. Buried in the family cemetery next to his son, Claybourn who died in WW2... My grandfather.... I visit often..Morgans last remaining child, out of 12, Daisy Morris... Died just last month. 90 yrs. Old in Stanton.

Morgen Pelfrey was my great grandfather on my fathers side. The man that shot and killed him was my great uncle on my mother’s side. My parents met and married in Dayton Ohio. Neither my mom or dad knew of the fued that insued after the tradgedy. When my brother was born the two bloods mixed.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 81rst anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
