My special feelings toward the NYC RR are there. I may never have worked for that line, but my Dad did, my Grandfather did and my Uncle did. I also once got to 'drive' a locomotive from Boston to Framingham when I was a kid, sitting in the lap of the engineer. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

Officer Burke, God Bless you on this 94th anniversary of your sacrifice, I simply want to say THANK YOU and may God have a special blessing for all who worked protecting America's rails and all they left behind for generations to come.

Rest in Peace, Brother.

My Dad spent many happy years on the New York Central, five of which as a Railroad Police Officer. Though he had a long and distinguished career with my hometown's PD, he always felt his happiest days were with the NYCRR.

Officer Burke, you were taken from this life while protecting one of the things that made this nation great, it's railroads. You have earned respect, as have all who have come after you and before you.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.
