Ssgt,
I wanted to let you know your great grandfathers memory is still alive.
I had his wrist band with me during police week 2015. I was wearing his band on a 250 mile bicycle ride from Chesapeak, Va to Washington DC on May 10-12. I belong to a group called Law Enforcement United. We raise money for ODMP and C.O.P.S (concerns for police survivors).
I used your great grandfather to give me strength to finish this ride.
Yes, his memory is still alive.

Regards,

We can only truly honor our heroes of the present by never forgetting our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
