Reflections for Lieutenant Thomas L. Kleis
Tommy was like a Dad to me. One year he showed up at our house on Christmas morning dressed like Santa Claus! I miss his smile the most, it always made me feel safe and cherished.

Lt.,
I now walk in your shoes and feel the responsibility to teach the young officers the right way as you always did! You were a great example at BGPD for us. This time of year, I always think of you more and miss your presence. You, Bill, and Danny watch over us, and I look forward to the day I see you all again!

You didn't die over a stolen vehicle, you died looking out for others. God bless and keep you in the palm of his hand.

A true officer and gentleman. Thanks for your service not only to the citizens of Beech Grove as a police officer, but also to the nation as a military officer and Huey pilot. Sharing the cockpit with such a fine pilot was an honor.

Time goes on, and your family still feels the pain, yet they have managed to forge ahead. This is in part to you and the way you led you life. You are not forgotten.
Rest in peace, Lt.

Been along time since High School. The news article on your pursuit continues to hang in the Driver & Marine Division of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. It continues to honor you and provides constant awareness to all Federal Agents/Officers of the importance of vehicle dynamics. You continue to train the "new troops" and you will not be forgotten.

I remember that night like it was yesterday. We sat around and talked about losing our Lt. and how it would effect us.
